From The Editor
By Gary Morris
Have you ever really been just amazed at God? Once again, He has provided this publication with some really fine articles. I'm not going to cover them here, but as you thumb through you'll see a diverse and multi-faceted lineup of incredible contributors to this issue. And let me tell you, it's all by the hand of the Lord. You might find this unbelievable, but we do not have a schedule for The Communicator. The procedure goes something like this -- I pray...a lot. And God answers... a lot more. And sometimes I even listen more than I talk. God always provides (usually abundantly) the contributors. Not your standard procedure of magazine publishing! He is faithful, even though sometimes I admit it makes me nervous. But that's okay too because the Lord knows I need to be kept humble.
I have an abundance of random thoughts as I am writing this piece. Can I share a few with you?
I'd love nothing better than to turn this page into "Letters to the Editor" or "What Our Readers Are Saying," or something of that nature.
If you've ever thought about submitting an article, why don't you go ahead and do it? You know if the Spirit's leading you'd better respond!
Please support our advertisers and acknowledge their presence in The Communicator when you do.
Remember that as a ministry you can advertise in The MarketPlace section with a classified ad for FREE as long as your ad is not selling something. Keep in mind this is a national publication.
Why don't you recommend us to your Music Ministry friends? Where else are they going to get a publication totally devoted to their ministry, jam-packed with information, ideas and resources, the latest in new music and assembled by their peers - for FREE?!
If you are reading this and you aren't doing business with J & J Music, WHY DON'T YOU?
Hebrews 12: 1 keeps going through my head.
Don't be fooled by my photograph.
Look, I realize this isn't a typical article, but I'd rather be honest with you than have to make up something or write about the highlights of material you've probably already read. I figure you can get a typical article from a typical publication any typical time you please. But you're not reading a typical publication. You're reading God's publication, The Communicator. It's just a prayer-effort / stewardship project for us, but it belongs to Him. May His will be done it, and may He receive all the glory from it. Amen.
Under Construction,
Gary
